When the wise men came from the east to see the newborn Jesus, they brought Him three gifts: gold, frankincense and myrrh. This oil enables you to remember Jesus’ birth as you anoint yourself or others.

In the book of Leviticus, we read that many of the grain sacrifices in the Temple were mixed with frankincense. When the grain was burnt on the altar, the frankincense would cause it to have a pleasing odor before God.
