Silver pendant with Widow’s Mite Coin.
This is an authentic coin of the Widow’s Mite inside a sterling silver (925) frame with a silver chain to wear as a necklace.
The “Widow’s Mite” is a small bronze Jewish prutah of Alexander Jannaeus (103-76 B.C.), which was reused as the small change during the time of Jesus and even later. It would have been the coin that Jesus referred to in his parable of the Widow’s Offering in Luke 21. The design on the front is a star, and the back is an anchor. The coin itself was minted only in the area of Judea, and is unique to Israel.
Comes with a certificate of authenticity and all required documents for export.
