Silver pendant with Widow’s Mite Coin worn as a necklace.
This is an authentic coin of the Widow’s Mite inside a sterling silver (925) frame with a silver chain to wear as a necklace from Luke 21:1-4 in the Bible.
The “Widow’s Mite” is a small bronze Jewish prutah of Alexander Jannaeus (103-76 B.C.), which was reused as the small change during the time of Jesus and even later. It is relating to the coin that Jesus referred to in his parable of the Widow’s Offering in Luke 21. The design on the front is a star, and the back is an anchor. The coin itself was minted only in the area of Judea, and is unique to Israel.
Comes with a certificate of authenticity and all required documents for export.
A wonderful gift for a loved one and reminder to us all of the teachings of Jesus!
