Large handmade olive wood ‘The Ark of the Covenant’ being carried by the High Priests.

The Ark of the Covenant is a gold-covered wooden chest with lid cover described in the Book of Exodus that contained the two stone tablets of the Ten Commandments, Aaron’s rod and a pot of manna.

This beautiful carving reminds the Bible student of many passages in the Bible. When you look at it you can see the priests standing in the middle of the Jordan while the people pass over, you can remember the priests leading the march around the city of Jericho, and you can consider the time that King David brought the ark up into the City of David. Each of these stories teach us about the power of God.
