Authentic 2000 year old “Widow’s Mite” coin set in a 925 silver fish frame pendant.
This striking design is sure to attract interest and questions about it’s meaning.
The “Widow’s Mite” is a small bronze Jewish prutah of Alexander Jannaeus (103-76 B.C.), which was reused as the small change during the time of Jesus and even later. It would have been the coin that Jesus referred to in his parable of the Widow’s Offering in Luke 21.

Weight: 6.1 gram.
Made in Israel.
The design on the front is a star, and the back is an anchor. The coin itself was minted only in the area of Judea, and is unique to Israel. Comes with a certificate of authenticity and all required documents for export.
