I bought this a week and a half before Christmas and because USPS was delayed during the holidays, and because of COVID, it didn’t come until January. But it was soooo worth the wait! I had searched on Etsy, Amazon, etc. for a nice, handmade nativity set but couldn’t find one. Then I read an article online about how shops in Jerusalem were hurting because COVID and Zak’s was listed. I was a little hesitant to order from that far away (I’m in the US) but I wanted to support them and this nativity set is exactly what I felt my wife wanted. It was packed really well so no damage in shipping. (The inner cardboard box could have used some strengthening, though. It was that type of cardboard that falls apart if you just look at it wrong.) The nativity set is so beautiful and even more beautiful to my wife knowing the story of how it was really made in Bethlehem and we were able to help the people who made it in their time of need. It just worked out so perfectly. I was able to get her the perfect nativity set AND we could help great artisans from Israel. We love it so much and are excited to have it as a family heirloom to give to our son someday!
