This genuine coin of Antiochus IV Epiphanes was the first coin to be minted in Judea around 1st century B.C. Set into a classic sterling silver ornate ring in Israel.
Antiochus IV Epiphanes was a Hellenistic king of the Seleucid Empire from 175 BC until his death in 164 BC. He was a son of King Antiochus III the Great. His original name was Mithradates; he assumed the name Antiochus after he ascended the throne.
The design on the front is the ‘Flower of Jerusalem’ and on the reverse side is an anchor and the name ‘Antioch’.
